Raising Voices
Youth Engagement and Young Artist Training

Pacific Opera Victoria's Raising Voices programming is designed to engage students and teachers in the arts, both in their schools and in the theatre. Raising Voices also provides training and performance opportunities for youth artists at every stage of development.

By encouraging appreciation for the arts and enhancing early training, we aim to give children and youth a lifetime to nurture what they love.

Opera for Schools

  • Student Dress Rehearsal Program: Full-time students in elementary, middle, secondary and post-secondary institutions, as well as home learners, have the opportunity to attend the dress rehearsals for POV's productions. Tickets are ordered through the educational institutions.

  • Living Opera: Complimentary in-class workshops before each opera.

Artist Training

  • Workshops, master classes, and more, for students of voice and practicing artists working in the fields of music, theatre, stage design and direction.
