Raising Voices
Youth Engagement and Young Artist Training

Raising Voices Is a program designed to engage students and teachers in the arts, both in their schools and in the theatre. Raising Voices also provides training and performance opportunities for youth artists at every stage of development.

This year, POV will also be collaborating with the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra and the Victoria Children's Choir to enrich arts education for the region. By encouraging appreciation for the arts and enhancing early training, we aim to give children and youth a lifetime to nurture what they love.

Opera for Schools

  • Student Dress Rehearsal Program: Full-time students in elementary, middle, secondary and post-secondary institutions, as well as home learners, have the opportunity to attend the dress rehearsals for POV's productions. Tickets are ordered through the educational institutions.

  • Living Opera: Complimentary in-class workshops before each opera.

Workshops for Young Artists

Offered in collaboration with our local art's partners the Victoria Children's Choir and the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra, these workshops will offer specialized musical training and help reach out to even more young artists in the making.
